X-Cel Rods

I seen a butiful rod called X-Cell in Jim's shop in Albany today with a nice little reel on it. Is it a good rod for soft plastic or hard bodies?

As I am fishing of the bank a lot , what should I look for in a long casting HB rod? Fast tapper / Glass tip / Length. Any info would be good.

yeah shimano I think it is ben(GREEN) $181 reel&rod combo??my mate has one it is a good cheap little set up for H,P`s you want something in the 6`6` to 7ft range to get out there on the Kalgan those rods have a nice stiff action,ask the wealth of information behind the counter he`s pretty keen to help.;)

QA,
That is the one, it is actualy $160. Can't go wrong with it at that price. The real that is on it made me want it but the rod still seams nice.
