hi all im looking for 2 rods totaling 600- 800 bucks for both.
(working over the christmas holidays. i need a HB rod and one plastics rod. Both around 6'3" - 7'3". thanks Dazza
Hb's: Loomis SJR720 IMX or
Black Diamond Bream Reaper
Sp's: Strudwick TPS
These would be my personal choices...
HTH
Dave
6'6" BreamReaper for hards
and the
7' - 2 piece BreamReaper for softs.
If you can, grab your reel and drop in the store and have a feel of a few. In the end, you'll get a lot of opinions, but it's how it feels in your hand that will make all the difference.

After long consideration, probably a Strudwick TPS 6' 1-3kg for plastics and the 5'8 TPS (1-3kg?) for hards.
I have no affiliation with Strudwick.
Maybe also a GL3 Loomis SJ721 for hards?
And I love my Daiwa HL-Z finnesse special for softs.
Arrrgh there are too many choices of course - the Struddies are probably the best bang for your buck - IMO the Loomis IMX blank is better quality but more expensive and even an off the shelf jobbie would work out at $500+
cheers

The blackdiamond rods are excellent, I'd use a Loomis p8400 IMX for crankbaits, and a Spin Jig rod, again from the G. Loomis range depending on what length you prefer will determine which model.
