gday just new to bream fishing only caught a couple around the kilo on the murray. have a lot of trouble getting more time in without a boat. was just wondering if anyone owns or has ridden in a western whaler as i am looking to purchase one and wondered how they handled on the rivers and out in the bays(cockburn and warnbro sound )
hey shawn
ive never seen the boat before but there is a review done by ira in the current DohDohDoh mag. he tested it out in albany and said that it handled the chop very well and is quite dry! the guy that sells them says that he takes them out to rotto so im sure that they would handle the sound well- have a look at the article
BTW: where abouts the murray where you fishing for your bream??
hope this helps

we were a fair way down river from the boat ramp at the bend.it was a week or two after the comp. it was my first time bream fishing and i found out that when you put soft plastic into the snags above the water line it doesnt pay to try yank it out with 8lb braid on a 2kg trout spin rod
Hi Shawn,
It would be worth while getting in contact with the guy and seeing if he has the 4.5m hull yet. The one Ira had was probably a little big for all round bream fishing, but it depends what you want.
Ira proke to him about the 4.5m hull. Might be worth giving him a call.
