The tides have been a litle low around there the past week although we did manage to get a few hits yesterday.

Plastics and hards fish well there. I have used both Snap Shads and the Fluor Pink Scorpions and picked up bream.

Try the bridge walls first and head back down along the rock wall and then to the mouth near Garret rd. The snag on the corner can produce some nice fish.

G'day Andrew,

Ascot is probably the spot I fish most, it's easy to get to, easy to fish from land and you're usually sure to get into some good bream. As Bear mentioned though, the tides have been really bad lately so hopefully in a few days things will improve.

There is a lot of ground you can cover, I'd first try the rock wall next to the lake and also throw a few casts off each end where it meets the sand (picked up a few like that recently), then you can try the banks inbetween the two bridges, and of course the bridges themselves..just look for spots that look fishy.

I haven't had much luck at all in there with soft plastics but a few of my friends have so it obviously works but personally I've stuck to hardbodies and had great success. Sneaky Scorpions in the Fire Fin pattern or Gold are the lures I'd be getting my hands on.

Let us all know how you go..

I agree definitly,

the lures that have worked for me have been the OarG`s, mainly gold and matty fraser. stick tight to the banks and rock walls roughly 1m from each, the same with the limestone walls. The lads have also had success on the sneakys as mentioned above. Keep an eye out for the bait action and cast a few around them as well.

Cheers
