I'm looking to buy a rod as I, um... got more than I bargained for on my last fishing expedition. It was a shimano stella and I'd only had 7 months!
Any suggestions?

Heaps of rods in that price range.....personal preference really. Take your reel in and see how thay feel with the reel mounted. I saw a new Wilson IM7 graphite rod the other day, with sexy fuji guides and reel seat for $129.

Beefs right there mate. For those dollars there are Heartlands, Stellas, Daiwas and more. Geoff has a few in the shop that he can tell you about, otherwise it's a case of hitting the pavement and checking out a few shops.

Try the Heartland IM6 rods, or some of the other Daiwa rods.
The shimano Starling range are great rods, so dont go past simply replacing the one you lost with another of the same!

Click on this link to have a squiz at the Live Fibre "Lightning" Bream spin rod at Campbells. This has been my starter rod since switching to SP's and HB's and I'm more than happy with it.
