In Starlo and Bushy's book, "how to catch Bream".
I saw a picture of a rod of bushy's (or starlo's) where the reel seems to just sit on the handle, without anything holding it in at the ends!
What is this rod?
Just curious.
The best pic is on pg 37 with the sustain attached.
Cheers

That rig caught my eye as well, very sexy. I'm pretty sure in one of the pictures you can see its an Ian Miller rod. I can't confirm this right now cos I returned Geoff P's copy of the "bible" to him.
This thread may assist with answers about bushys rod, it contains comments from Ian about the rod.

That rod has been in a story in a fishing mag somewhere years ago. Ian Miller built it, he drilled and tapped the reel stem and it is fixed to the rod with a short bolt concealed under the cork.
It looks nifty doesn't it. It would be a bit of fuss to get the reel off though if it needed to be sent away for service or repair ;-)
