Hi All Just upgraded from a Hobie Quest to a Revo so time for another rigging session .
It took me some time to get my head around where to put every thing as my previous yak a Hobie Quest with its large center consol was fairly obvious.
After looking at a number of revo and AI fitout threads I decided to go with the following

First cab off the rank a Ram 2000 tube rod holder
http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae69/brendonyakfisher/Hobie%20revolution%20Kayak%20rigging%20for%20fishi ng/IMG_3519.jpg

I built a bracket to attach this as I did not have the narrow base ram mounts to fit on the sides of the revo and speaking to some other guys they had experinced chaffing on the rudder retract/extend cables from mounting screws .It also allowed me to put a doubler behind the mount as well.

Next a RAM sounder mount for my Cuda 300 sounder .Once again I built an adapter bracket as I did not have the neat little diamond base.

Hobie Anchor Trolley Kit installed and upgraded the rudder to the sailing rudder

http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae69/brendonyakfisher/Hobie%20revolution%20Kayak%20rigging%20for%20fishi ng/IMG_3536.jpg

I still have to transfer the transducer for the fish finder from my Quest and install a battery box, flag and anchor light.

Cheers Brendon

Hi all finally got the electrics ,livewell and an extra rod holder fitted in preparation for Mandurah ABT round

http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae69/brendonyakfisher/Hobie%20revolution%20Kayak%20rigging%20for%20fishi ng/IMG_4486.jpg

The Sounder and livewell pump are controlled by the two switches on the grey box visible under the sounder

http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae69/brendonyakfisher/Hobie%20revolution%20Kayak%20rigging%20for%20fishi ng/IMG_4487.jpg

http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae69/brendonyakfisher/Hobie%20revolution%20Kayak%20rigging%20for%20fishi ng/IMG_4488.jpg

I have added a spare RAM 2008 tube rod holder behind the seat and its quite a bit easier to reach than the built in hobie holders.

http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae69/brendonyakfisher/Hobie%20revolution%20Kayak%20rigging%20for%20fishi ng/IMG_4493.jpg

I have now used a fuse holder assy and bridged across one side of the terminals to make it into a combined fuse holder/ positive bus and allow the use of crimp spade conections that are way more relible than the cheap and nasty plastic joiner strip I had previously

http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae69/brendonyakfisher/Hobie%20revolution%20Kayak%20rigging%20for%20fishi ng/IMG_4490.jpg

Once again used a through hull wet transducer mount with dielectric grease.

Nice fitout Brendon.

I've got a Revo myself and love it. They are a great craft with just the raw hull, but yours is on another level with all that awsome gear. You'll have a ball in that come tournament time. Best of luck.

have now added a Garmin GPS 60CSX to the revo.

I built an adapter plate and added it to the mount for the cuda 300 fishfinder .

I have made a bracket for the GPS using the original belt clip that is supplied with it and will attach the GPS to the YAK with an additional lanyard for piece of mind.

Also picked up a dirt cheap hobie sail kit in the Boxing day sales .Less than half price but no bag.
Tried it out and while i cant see myself using it in a fishing context much it was good to have a play and intruduce my sons to sailing.

Very nice indeed. I wouldn't mind a yak myself, but I find it too inconvenient to transport. Hope it brings you many fish.

Cheers,

So, where do you put the DVD player? :p That was what a passerby said to me when I was packing the Hobie Sport for a fish just before launch.
Hope you remembered to fold up the rudder before removing the wheels otherwise it might be an expensive first trip.

Hi chunqx
I actually had the rudder pivot pin partially come out today whilst fishing and had to stop and refit it .Still have not found a local dealer with one in stock after three attempts.
Cheers Brendon
