A Mate three quater filled oil resevoir in his 90HP 2 St 2002 Yama.
The Ensine was in the down (ie Vertical) position and the next day noticed oil leaking down the shaft (still in Vertical position). Is this an issue?
Cheers

Of course an oil leak is an issue - unless it was not noticed that the filler neck was missed for a bit during filling. It sounds by your description that oil is coming down the shift shaft? I rekon oil is pooling in the lower cowling and thru the hole of the shift shaft.
Get it checked out before you go out next.

I'm sorry but if oil is leaking of course it's an issue, as if you would even have to ask, just leave it for a year, when it blows up you will know why.

check the colour of the oil also as it may even be hydrolic oil if a seal on the tilt has a nick ect that oil is normaly red i think.

Well if that's how you choose to look after your investment that's fine, But Don't ask a stupid Question wondering why it's seized or not working.

Thanks Einstien, I was pointing out that not all oil leaks are fatal and that your opinion is 2 months too late.
