ive heard that the authorities are enforcing the ban of fishing from a boat in the yarra/docklands area. apparently the law has been in place since the 50's but it has been ignored since then.

this isnt official but what ive been told by a tackle shop employee and boat owners.

maybe an official word from government might be needed and a permit applied for if this tournament is to go ahead.

if i find out more i'll post it here

cheers pete

This NSW boy is trying to get down there for the first round, maybe a pre-fish early Jan.

Anyone who can offer me advice on the docklands area will make me happy - possibly come out for a pre-fish too???

I'll suppy the B&B you supply the B.

(Thats Boat, Beer and Bream:D what a combo!)

hello dave im a land based fisho and the area i fish is out of bounds for the comp :(....well it was last year.....BUT my best mate, who won biggest bream last year with a 1.22kg fish, knows the comp boundaries from last year.

so if your boat can handle 3 guys let me know when your coming down and i'll organize a get together. and if you like i'll show you how us landbased docklands fisho's get to the fish:) :)

G'day Warren

I'm from sunny Qld, and see there's nothing mentioned at all in the Qld BREAM forum. I'd love to get involved in this competition.

Where do I find out all the info?

Regards
Kevin

p.s. Nice site. I'll be a regular here. :)

Kevin,

I've replied to most of this question after another of your posts around here, but forgot to mention that when the season starts, we publish (by print) all of the results in Queensland Fishing Monthly ... and I'm sure you've seen that around, being a Queenslander and all.

Cheers,

Steve Morgan

Thanks Steve.

Funnily enough I just read the dates of the event on the front page here.

I'm a newbie at this, and it's good that the event is in June. That will give me plenty of practice beforehand. From what I read, they are a quality tournament.

Regards
Kevin
