View Full Version : Vic Bream Classic - Metung
Hi guys
I am looking forward to doing the Classic here in a fortnight and looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting some new people.
Just thought I would remind you that if you call into the store on the way through we will give all Breammaster members 10% off all fishing tackle and you will also get a free cup of coffee.
If anyone is travelling through on Thurs for the prefish and will be coming through Sale after 5.30 and want to stop into the shop let us know and we will stay open for you.
The shop phone number is 5144 1397. My mobile is 0438 409 491 or Rob's is 0430 440 220.
You will find us at 308-310 York St (Princes Hwy), SALE, opposite the Toyota dealer, as you are heading out of town towards Bairnsdale.
See you all soon

We'll be coming through thursday arvo, leaving Melbourne around 1pm
See you in the afternoon Craig
Local reports are that the Tambo and the Mitchell may experience some flooding. The rain has eased off, but should make for an interesting comp. We are still hearing that the bream are around and being caught in all the usual places though.
Don't forget to drop into the shop for a coffee on your way through. We will keep the deep fryer going, so you can also grab some hot chips, and if you are nice I might even be talked in to makeing some burgers or bacon and egg rolls.
If you are going to call in keep an eye out for our boat, white Nitro, which will be parked on the corner, next to the shop. If there is no street parking we have a huge carpark out the back and also a big grassed area, so plent of room for your boats.
See you at the shop, or at the briefing on Friday arvo.
Mim
Hey Mim,
Make sure the coffee machine is full. Will be through late Thursday arvo.

Thanks guys for the kind words, very much appreciated.
Very happy with the first win and with equal first for the TOY. :D
Honestly, wasn't expecting this to happen, but as they say, stick to your guns...
A big thank you to my fishing buddy and favourite son (Ruski) for not letting me to change the game plan and stick to what worked for us on the day.
Damiki Monsters do catch fish for sure!
Will post some photos later (thanks Craig and Hazy ;))

Well done boys, super effort.
Pretty sure I recognise that bank in the background of one of those pics, pity we could only get squeakers off it.
I watched Paul & Alex fishing a bank opposite us on day 1, they were on fire. It seemed like every time I looked over they had the net out landing fish and quality ones at that.
Very happy to be sharing TOY honours with you guys.
Would also like to say a very big THANKYOU to Mim at Fishermans Hut in sale, on the way home we did a trailer bearing in Sale. Mim was kind enough to do the ring around thing and was able to put us in touch with a guy who had the bearings we needed and got us back on the road. The coffee was also fantastic:)

Note to self, keep a few spare trailer bearings in the boat...

Well done boys
Great win considering you managed to find a technique that no one else used and took out the victory. I want to see what these monster minkis look like can some one post a pic please.
Big congrats to Team Damiki and Colac Tackle for joint Club Marine Team of the Year honors. I made the decision to give both teams the joint Victory rather than do a count back as both teams have fished exceptionally all year and also are both highly respected through out the Vic Bream Circuit. From a best and fairest point of veiw both teams always fish with integrity and never have a bad word to say about other teams they just go about their business and produce great results. Hence it was easy for me to make the decision that both teams thoroughly deserved to share the honors.
Both Colac Tackle and Damiki Pontoon 21 will be presented will Club Marine TOY Trophies and Jackets at the Humminbird Invitational. They will have all their qualifying round entry fees covered in 2011 and a coin toss at each breifing will determine who starts first. Either way this won't make too much difference considering Team Damiki have about 100hp advantage off the start line.
Again great job boys. Now just go smack the NSW, QLD, WA, TAS and SA teams in the National Final.
Cheers
Bill

As per others response. Well done to Paul and Alex for sticking to their guns looking outside of the square and creating a win for themselves... What a top win and to take out TOY with Colac,, even better.
Also a top effort to Hazy for the BIG BREAM... 1.84 KG is a once in a lifetime fish, but some how he can invent them in tournamnets consistantly..
