Nabeel Issa Cranka Prostaff get a podium

Hi all

We would like to congradulate Nabeel Issa for his Cranka effort on the weekend.
Coming from 3rd on day one to 1st on day two, to secure his second ever win as a non boater.
Nabs is a brilliant angler and should continue to do well for many years.
He rang me today to tell me how the weekend unfolded.
His prefish proved very different to the real deal on the weekend ( that never happens in tournaments:eek:) and managed to secure a few fish in the shads in prefish and possibly in day one.... get a bit confused on the phone when i am excitied about a mate getting a flag.
But day two saw him on the water with steve wilson a boater i had in the GF in 2007, A great bloke who throught it was just brilliant when i picked up his rod and caught first fish of the day.... sorry off track.

Nabs got to show how much the yellows on the tweed love a cranka vibe, but too nabs dissapointment didnt get a legal, so thought he would mix it up and goto a guuulllp, and this got him his last 3 fish of the day to secure his podium.

But here at Cranka we tell it how it was and that is how it was.

So all the prostaff at Cranka would like to tell Nabs you are a legend.

To be honest, I didnt think that there were a lot of guys that lied about what gear they used to plug their sponsors :confused: Guess I was wrong there!

That is one thing that I could never do and Im proud to be sponsored by a company that supports this.

One of the key elements that sold me too,its great to have the sponsorship as well as the freedom to just fish...congrats again mate and well done to the Cranka mob.:cool:

I would also like to extend my congratulations to Nabs and all the other place getters - in fact anyone who caught any legal bream. I found the comp incredibly tough and recorded a shameful double doughnut as a boater (its not my first doughnut, definitely wont be the last, but the first over two days of a comp) - lots of fish but nothing that would go the required 26cm. The most frustrating weekends fishing I have ever had. To find the legal fish and have the ability and skill to land them deserves some recognition, so well done again on a very well deserved result.

After looking through the ABT website I also noticed another feather in nabs hat.

He is now ranked No.1 non boater in Australia.
