Congratulations to Wade for a great win in difficult conditions. It is always hard to back up on the second day when you are leading. Congrats to Szarn for the AOY win with extremely consistent results, you really are a freak.
That one extra fish has never hurt me so badly and to have lost at least 5 fish that would have finished the bag on Saturday makes it all the more frustrating. The tentative bites and pulled hooks on the weekend tested everyones nerves I think.
A big thanks to Rob Searing for his fantastic support, the Monster Miki's were the saviour again. Also to Ian from Millerods. Thanks to the Albany fishing club for the food and hospitality. Those bacon and egg sandwiches were a great way to start the morning.
It was a great weekend with lots of socialising and a few drinks after the days fishing. Some of the young fellas were looking a bit worse for wares after partying all night and then going fishing.
Hope to see continued support for the events next year.
P.S. Can we have a round at the Blackwood again next year?:D

Cheers, Dror

Congratulations to Wade was great to see him take off the win, well done Szarn on, taking the AOY off yet again. Big up to Ollie Sear for winning Non Boater, shows you dont really need Pete to win.
A big cheer for the Albany Fishing club for putting on a great meal, bacon and eggs for breakie and for supplying a great venue.
Had a great weekend and beating Peter Degroote made it even sweeter (sorry Pete but after all the doh doh you have hung me its time for payback;))
Who owns the Krispy Cream shop now

I have to say that I had a great time at my first WA ABT. Thankyou all, and congratulations to the winners

It was interesting fishing, and a style that I have never done before, apart from on the Thursday when Don took me to Walpole.

A very special thanks go to two guys.
Mark Morris for loaning me his boat, getting it to Albany, and the pre-fish.

And to Don Johnston for picking me up from Perth, driving me to Albany and back, arranging accommodation, and a few tips on how to fish the flats at Albany.

Very much appreciated.
Cheers

Congratulations to Wade on his win.....i fished my butt off and you still beat me and Dror.....Very well done mate....:)

cograts also to Don and Dror.....Dror sure had me very nervous but Don came out of nowhere and had me on edge....
all day sunday.......A big congratulations also must go to Ollie as that was a great win on a hard weekend and Jack
and Collin.....its good to see a few new faces up in the top 3.....well done guys.....it was also good to see suzie make
top ten....

Now a big thankyou to the following

All the sponsors who provided the awsom prizes

The albany Sportfishing Club - that food was 5 star and served by the nicest people.....the bbq each
day was the absolute best thing you could have done.....when you get off a boat after 7 hours of hard fishing and see
a hot plate with snags and fried onions it just makes everything good...... its a great venue and a very handy location..

My non boaters Ross and jaxson for the company and laughs and all the other competitors.....

Marcelle and Craig and ABT....Emu Beach caravan park for the discounts and The local tackle shops
who supported the comp and provided the discounts when we raided thier shops......

Lastly ...the biggest thanks must go to Dion Robinson who paid my entry.....without help from Dion i would not have made
it due to a car problem and a last minute mishap that came with a huge dental bill .....:(

I did miss seeing a huge rooster tail moving back and fourth in the distance so i hope to see leon back
in the comps asap....

I hope we see a lot more small boats in the future comps as the list of wins by small boats is growing fast...
it shows you can compete even on the smallest budget.....get in and have a go...:)

I had a ball down in Albany, a big thanks to my two non boaters Kym and Dawson two local boys. As I have never fished in this area before these guys were a great help. Well done Szarn on your title and well done to Wade for taking out the round.

This weekend just goes to show you don't need a expensive boat to get the job done. Even in my tinny we were finding fish all over the place I just couldn't back up my effort from day one. Fishing with Dawson on day two this guy absolutley smashed me to pieces. I'm going to teach myself how to use a blade properly.

Congrats to all the other anglers who have qualified for the ABT final. I can't wait until next year.

Cheers
Tim

I had a great weekend in my first ABT event. Although I lost my mojo and got a donut for both days including the pre fish I did learn a lot about fishing at Albany. I would like to thank my two non boaters Paul and David for a great time and I am glad they managed to catch some fish. I would also like to thank David O'Reilly and his gang for there hospitality. I hope you had a great birthday Dave.

I got my mojo back on Monday afternoon after 20 min with a 30cm Bream in the murray river.

Cheers Guys see you all at the next event
