i KNOW THE YARRAGADEE Extends up to Derdy cos ive pulled oil out of it up there...
dERBY-Perth is a hell of a long hike for power to travel....and think of the emmisions involved with just constructing the powerline....notwithstanding all the "Fishkills' in the water turbines ;)

Well done I'm sure Royal Dutch Shell or BP would love to speak to you of you can pump oil out of a water aquifier...

Hey - as long as your performing these miracles - how about turning a little of this water into wine - theres a whole lot of Vintnors down here been at it for ages- but those silly duffers have to grow grapes with it first in order to pull it off - maybe you can 'cut out the middle man'. ;)

If the stupid Gpvt had approved the Derby Tidal power wen it was up for approval - they COULD have lied the cable in the Gas trench fronm the Nor west Shelf down to perth and 3/4's of the Desal power needs would already have been done for very little extra cost.

What Fish in the turbines?..haven't you heard - Kim Chance has re introduced netting of the rivers up north - there ARE no fish left up there...or very soon won't be.

How these mystery fish going to get thru the nets to get into the turbines?...

I dunno, how can something so simple be so hard..

When I'm benevolent Dick tater, things will be different let me tellyou - I seconde Jo Bjelke to give me a hand and we'll make things happen just you watch. Flo can feed the tidal construction crews her punkin scones, and they will all get superhuman strength - each of them will do the work of 10 men...

Vote trouty 1 for benevolent Dictater and save the fish & rivers.

Cheers!

Water is ALWAYS present in an Oil AQuifer u dimwit. The process called "watering OUT" of an oilfield is where the OIL is reduced enuf so that the water(which sits below the OIL) starts getting pumped out of the well.
Y don't u quit trying to be a geologist and go back to felling age-old trees, and u seem to know a bit about em, maybe uve been growing too many of those funny smelling ones which grow so well in nannup! Thats the only way i can explain ur notion of Derby TIDES powering the WHOLE of AUstralia! Wat a JOKE!
They only came up with the idea so it could Power DERBY! At the time it was off the Power Grid and running off generators. It probly still is!
Theres no way those tides could power even WA!

The Fishing up north goes off to mate U probly don't know how to CATCH a FISH!
Go back to Felling trees mate, It suits ur IQ!

Yeh good one mate ;)
the more i think about this tidal power the more i like the idea....
in general we need to stop producing greenhouse gases and windmills etc are THE answer!
Vote one for the trout-meister!
By the way can u let me in on any good spots and techniques for catching trout and redfin in the nannup area....ive heard next to the caravan park is ok...and are earthworms the go or wat;)

Rivers are all open at the moment - streams open sept 1st for trout.

Worms will definitely catch you a trout or two - where the stream (dry brook) drains into the blackwood under the bridge there next to the c/van park is a good spot to start.. ;)

There are other good spots around too, maybe better I PM them to you tho! ;)

Cheers!

What a fantastic volley of jibes and subtle insult's.
The entertainment I have gained from reading these posts would be greatly enhanced if you could both harness the English language and learn how to spell!

I do hope the previous passages are not reflections of the West Australian education standards.
