Maribyrnong in April

How have peoople been going on Maribyrniong this week? A couple of weeks back it was fantastic, but I've struggled of late. Went down tonight for a fish and the conditions looked fantastic (albeit on a low-ish tide) but I didn't get a single touch in nearly an hour.

Headed down this evening for an hour and happy to report that things were a lot better that I've found them to be lately. Nice full tide no doubt helped, and also switched back to the SX40s after mainly using strikepro microvibes for a while. Caught 4 in about an hour, even with the dog barking and me taking about 5mins to take photos of each fish! Nothing huge - couple of mid 20s and couple of high 20s with another nice fish that got off. Fish seemed keen on the fluoro colours. And for those on foot - the Newsom Rd bridge (aka Pipeworks bridge) is open again! Have missed being able to swap over to the other side to get the best side when the wind picks up.
