Hey

The lure desc. of this on the online shop praises it quite highly, although u dont hear much of these being used like the others -> r2s's, sneaky's, oargees etc

What do u guys think? Do these teeny wee craws live up to their hype? I kind of doubt they are so good that u can use them to find out if the fish are even there or not, and they are fairly expensive.

what do u guys think of these lil cool lookin fellas?

We've just put in a huge order for every colour in both teeny wee and teeny wee deep. The problem is the availability and the cost. But once you've used them you will see what we are on about. The rebel's were all Tim the Bream used to win the first Bream final, and for anyone who likes chasing trout on lures they double up beautifully.

Give us a week or so to get them in and we'll have them in the new store that I'm currently still working on at midnight on a Thursday night..... zzzzzzzzz.......wah.....type, type....zzzzzzz

Geez I'll be glad when this is finished...

Warren.:( :(

The shallow ones run quite shallow - i've had some really good sessions with then around JoJo's when the water is low - the OrG's etc were rolling over, rubbing along the bottom but the craws were cruising nicely about 2" down.
Redfin like them too (allot).

Over on the east coast we have pink nippers or bass yabbies as some call them, they are a major food source for many fish. These crawfish resemble them very well, for the past 25 years I have been using these for bream and flathead. They are so sucessfull that I use little else!
The smaller 2 are almost clear with an orange belly the larger, a Flathead killer, has a green top and orange belly! I hope the colours come out OK. The bream in my avitar was 1.3 kg on an orange crawfish!

Can anyone tell me how deep the teeny-wee-itty-bitty-craw-thing-deep dives? The deep diving one?

I honestly dont know! I use them in 1 to 2 meters of water over sand flats, I like them to bounce the bottom and stir up the sand. Bream being inquisitive have no hope!!!

The large one is a D 74 Big Crawfish then comes the F76 wee crawfish, then the D77 Deep Teeny Wee Crawfish. F shallow D deep.
The clear colour is Shrimp the other is either stream or moss, i cant remember, I also like Ditch Brown.

hey ppls
Those rebel craws are pricey, ( 14.95) at sports marine, hey not that i dont support the rebel, but you can get kokodas for five bucks and ther the same, exept in pant, wich would make no diff? or would it?

I used to have one of the kokoda craws that I used to use on flathead but it got smashed pretty easlily when I cast it at a pylon:rolleyes: . The Producers also have a crw lure which is identical to these and I've seen them in K-marta couple of times.

the 2" Kokoda craw is pretty deadly with flathead - I got one as a freebie a few years ago with some kokoda line. - just change the hooks as the standard ones bend pretty damn easy.

17-08-2003, 11:19 PM
hey i have used kokodas
They are cheap but i have never caught anything on them
do they make them as small as teeny weeny craws?

The Rebel Crawdads are definetly the bench mark when it comes to hard bodies in south-east queensland.

They've propably caught more bream than all the others put together. Unfortunately as mentioned they're getting a bit expensive these days.

I hate to nit pick and seem like a fuddy duddy, but Warren, Tim didn't actually win the first Bream Grand Final with them. Timmy hasn't won a Grand Final, but he did win the first ever round at Sanctuary Cove with them.

Cheers.

Simon.

I'm sure the Rebel craws were in the shop yesterday.

Went in there to look today and they don't seem to be there?

Am I staring straight at them?

Did they sell out, or aren't they in stock yet.

Anyone know?

Cheers

I found one, black back, green sides...ages ago (couple of years) while I was working in the ponds at a recreational fishing farm in Wannaroo. It looks like the lowest lures of bluefins picture. (same bib/towing point arangement) But when I've used it, it only dives to 20cm. Could it just be an old version or something?

I used rebel craws for years on the central coast and they were (apart from attack lures)the best bream lure by far.

My mate bought an immatation rebel out once(smilin jack i think )and after seeing me having all the fun he pissed the immatation off and got himself the real deal ( REBEL).

Its worth paying the extra ,they rip!!!
