the other day i bought three packets of these plastics in the two inch size and when i opened them they reeked of a diesel sort of smell ,is that the thing they put on the lures so they do melt the packet they are in or maybe an attractant ?but i dont think fish like that smell.but they still catch fish so whats the deal ?:confused:

I just had a young guy from Albany email me about these. He's bought some from somewhere and wanted to know if they were any good for Bream. I steered him toward the better known brands.

I've tried a few styles of these and have had quite a few takes although I'm yet to actually land a bream on them, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time....I have caught serveral flatties on them tho......also a mate of mine hoooked a nice bream on one at the Tranby House jetty.

Got a photo of that that I will try and add and will try and add a couple more of the minimini's for ya Warren.

I picked them up from the carry on camping and fishing in Kelmscott.

These plastics are really soft, I was told by Ian Sewell(Anglers Anonymous) that he's had bream hit them 5 and 6 times in one retrieve....he reckon's it's cause of how soft they are.
Pretty sure he stocks them too.

Have to agree with geoff that these stink and there is a definate diesel smell, but as long as they catch fish i'll use 'em :D

They're not fancy. but they're cheap!!!!:D

I have been testing out the MiniMini grubs (A-Grub, K-Grub, M-Grub and I-Grub) over the past few months and have found them to be 'ok'. Some of the styles are quite good, in particular the K and M grubs, and I have taken some nice Bream on them. In fact I took my best Bream to date on a Red Glitter M Grub!
The quality of the grubs seem to be rather inconsistent, some packets have the diesel smell whilst others dont?

The plastic itself is very soft yet rather durable. The colour range has some good colours amongst it and also some dead set shockers:rolleyes: For the price I think they are fairly good value, especially on those days when the 'arse biters' are thick.

Davo what EG prize did you pick? Ecogear are the goods but some times when tailor are chomping they can take minnow after minnow :( Those minimini might be good in those conditions like you said MAtt. Also nearly every lure has a couple of shocking colours :)

I grabbed a pack of the olive shad pad-tue's and a pack of the okiami grass minnow s :D

main reason I chose those ones was cause I had just recieved an ecogear order from Warren and I liked the look of the pad-tue's I got in that but the one I didn't get was the olive shad and I read somewhere that someone had done quite well on the okiami colour.

Hi guys,
I've been using Minimini's for over a year now and they work good. My first whiting on plastics was on one of these (42 cm) motor oil colour, 3" grub. The bream reckon they are pretty good too :D . I get mine from Budgewoi Bait and Tackle. I originally bought them cos they were the only grubs I could find in motor oil colour, all the more 'popular' brands were sold out at the time.
I thought they smelt funny too, but it does'nt seem to afect the fish.

i also get mine from budgiewoi marine sports they sell from $4.50 for a pack of twenty great value:D not a bad colour range either they also have double tails which have accounted for flathead. around the coast.they look exactly like atomic single tails and paddle tails

damn the selection of softies in bunbury is terrible. Occasionaly they will have atomic fat grubs but apart from that jack DohDohDohDoh. One guy asked what i was using the 1/32 jigheads I was buying and when I said blackies he LOL and spealed on about how they were to small and would only catch whiting. So I laughed at him, bought my jigheads and went and caught some bream :)

Davo I chose the plum 3" paramax, shrimp/green back bug and the natural/watermelon minnow S. The minnow S looks 300% better than the picture on the site, they have pumpkin guts and watermelon back. Enjoy the gear it always performs but toothy critters can make short work of them
