I'm currently involved in a mental argument with myself over whether or not to get the 'Midge Direction' Heartland.....

At what stage do you own too many rods  :D

Most say a rod for each hand is sufficient, No Way - When you have 10 fingers you can have at least 10 rods. ;)

Im thinking i`ll be settling on 5 rods myself, got 4 - one to go.

DaveW,

It becomes a problem when their in your boat and you have to sit back and decide which one to grab:D

Time wasted thinking you could be catching bream. I prefer to have 2 or 3 of the best i can afford outfits.

I agree, I usually take 2-3 rods out when fishing these days, but what ones depend on where i`ll be fishing for the day, whether it be flats, snags, bridges, and hards or softs etc.

cheers

Funny this thread should pop up... I just got myself a 601LRS-ti "Jerking Special" bring on the jokes...

I might have to make do with a cheapo small reel after splashing out on this rod, but I have been looking at Daiwa's newly released Laguna LA1000. Sits so beautifully on the 'Z'. However my concern is that this reel is marketed as a freshwater reel on their website, yet I have been told by people in a couple of stores that the internals and bearings are no different to the larger models

Not sure if it's worth the risk of it going swimming once, or getting a heavy spray of water for $169 ...
