Hardbodies for Breamin

Need to upgrade / update my hardbody collection. Just wanted to see what everybody is using.

Hiya...

Well being new to the bream luring game I don't have a wide collection of HB's, however my most prolific catcher has been my Oargee little ripper in gold. Fishing over snaggy water, 1-2 meters deep at a guess, seems to work very well. All my fishing is shore based but I have also been told the R2S's go off, however I lost mine the first time fishing (busted off by something big) so I would give them the thumbs up too ;)

My current order of preference is:

52 Scorp Suspending (done at home)"BrownTrout,R11,R26,Mullet"
River2Sea Gold, flat gold- with towing point taken off.
Taylor Mades - pink and golds, and multi colour
Attacks - Trout
Deceptions
and the trusty gold OarG`s

I don't use hardbodies much, but when I do the orange tiger striped attack goes on first. The orange tiger striped oar gee goes on after the attack gets busted off. Then I go back to softs.

Hi Adam, have a serious look at the mini micro mad mullet from Lively Lures and the new Eddy's lures lip ripper it's a purpose built bream lure and both are Aussie made and owned

Spot on Warren.
Managed to get them from Campbell's here. Gold, yellow, green\gold and so on.

Also have:
Oar Gee
Palaemon (gold tiger)
Scorp (52, 35)
Attack
R2S
Manns Stretch (good for flats)
Yo Zuri (snap shad and more on the way)

That's a start.

Adam, if I'm guessing right about where you want to use them then I'd be looking at the Predatek Micro Min (it's a slow sinker), and see if you can track down the colour below ;)

They also do a 'deep' version, for targeting the deeper oyster rack edges (hope I'm not giving anything away :D ).

Both these lures become sloooow floaters if you remove the front trebles and don't use a snap - that's why I love 'em, for their vesatility :)

Koolabung do some good Bream lures as well, but they're pretty thin on the ground - worth looking for though.

They're the only 'out there' ones I can think of, and even though the weather is a bit chilly, don't forget the River2Sea Buggi Pops, perfect for across the top of racks on the high tide.

Hi Again Adam, these are the new Eddys Lures bream lure. it's not the best pic but gives you some idea, what they look like. they come fitted with chem sharpened hooks.

Try the Smilin Jack Raw Prawns.We got a lot of Bream in the Georges this last summer on them. The best colour is fluro pink & the nipper colour but all the colours work.

I knew this would be a fav subject. I currently only use the attacks, decptions and Manns 5+ but would like to increase the options as you never know when which will work.

Dave, that's fine mate. heck, with all my post's these days you'll probably know that I am preparing myself for some tournaments.

I agree with what everyone has said so far ie. Attacks, Palaemons, Deception Nippers, Mini or Micro Mullets,Taylor Made Nuggets etc. If you ever see any Humpty Lure 42mm divers though be sure to get some. They're Aus made (in Victoria by Paul Nicel) and are tremendous on bream. Truely exquisite and (almost) too nice to throw at fish.
