Looked to be a fair opening with a few trout caught,yearlings and mature fish.The best i came across was a couple fishing very early with wet fly,4 rippers.
Appeared to be around 30 people on the dam,great to see the interest in the sweetwater.
The sickening result of increasing numbers is the rubbish factor,you could fill a trailer load with nappies and crap from illegal camp sites,the quickest way to get the no camping policed is due to the pollution.[wasn't trout opening crap .looked to be weekend stuff]
Hope its a good weekend for the MBA and the wind stays away.

Hey Paul
No sign of a brown or as typical of openings a reddie .Shore fishing ok 5-45 to 9-30,trolling up to midday.This was the general gist as we spoke to half a dozen others.
Could be a complete change at the weekend who knows, the wind not too bad up till mid morn;then the wind picked up and i guess the barrom..... dropped.
cheers

Hey Shane {aka greg}
Did you fish the bank at the wall end or the east end.i'm guessing the east end as i didn't see anything come in on lures from the bank where i was.

hey renovator, i fished the same shore spot i do every time the season opens, off the deep points around from the boat ramp right up to the limestone rocks.
