hey dom,
i am currently using a nitro 7'6 and find it an amazing rod, your able to cast lightweight jigheads and lures a mile, at the same time you are able to cast all salmon lures, light to medium heavy, they're simply a terrific rod.
(of what ive heard the 6'6 is also a grouse rod,)between the two they have the ability to hold most species chased by shore based lure and plastics anglers, bream, salmon, trevally, and flathead etc.

cheers mick
