looking at getting a canoe or kayak
DohDohDoh have a sit top for sale for $250 and am seriously considering buying it will this be any good or are they really bad? it will only be used for up the river and will it be possible to mount a sounder on
thanks cameron
Probably ask the rep at DohDohDoh about the sounder, there is also a yak fishing forum http://www.akff.net/forum/

Soundslike a pretty good deal but i would rather save up and get a decent one. A friend of mine bought i Espri for like $650 - $700 and he ended up spending another $500 gettting it prepared for fishing - Rod Holders, Live Well, Rod Leash, Paddle Leash, a lighter better quality paddle, life vest, sounder etc etc
I hope to go half half for a Profish for Christmas:D

i have the exact same daylite kayak, surprisingly there okay but the seat sucks. Its uncomfortable and keeps popping out but you can buy a seat thats like the ones that go on the hobies, alot better and very comfy. Although the reason why we are selling the boat is to get a hobie outfitter:)

that should do the job pretty well, put a milk crate on the back so you can chuck your tackle boxes and what not in there. another kayak fishing forum is www.kfdu.com.au especially if you are around nsw or brissie
Hey camson,

If you are fitting flush mount rodholders in it get the ones that are closed in the bottom as this will stop water getting inside the yak. The one that have the plastic caps are ok but after a while the cap will split and fall off.
