Never heard of them Jamie, but then again there are quite a few around which I have no Idea about - in fact most of them. How many bearing etc and how much is it worth, the best way I reckon is to compare to something proven in the same price range.

Do you mean the Shimano Navi series of reels? Never seen one in the flesh (metal?) but apparently around the same level as the stradic, in which case I'd have to say they are good. They are only built for the japanese market. Are you going to import one? There is some info here:

I also found the same page Jimi, these reels really dont look to bad, as you said very close to the Stradic reel this is, and really looks alright.

Jamie, if its a bargain price Id take it, it really looks like a nice little reel. Check out the link Jimi posted.

cheers

thanks for your input guys,it is a shimano reel (japan)spoke to mr Muramoto reckons no problem in salt water/brackish water etc 3ball bearings,1 roller bearing, 170yrds of 6lb capacity 2003 model $102aud.thats what Ive found out so far. my only concern is the amount of bearings, does it make much noise after 12months etc seems cheap for what it looks like.Iam using a epix EFS20-10 ball bearings & although very happy with its perfomance & appearance I gotta have a winge about the drag adjustment point.I use 4lb fireline & ocassionally (only when it is the cast of the day)my line catches in the gap on the drag adjuster(**** I hate that)Ive tried a dab of areldite in there & wet & dry but Iam overit now & hunting a new reel.:)
