Might hafta get this forum up and running ay.
So who is entering Qld Bream round 1?
I will be there as a non-boater, prob wont win anything but i have a few semi secret spots that i have discovered in the upper reaches of the Nerang River.
Might hafta pull my finger out and get a big order from Warren to cater to the needs of our pickey bream up here:)

G'day Cheyne
I'll be entering I think. That's what I'm in training for, anyway. I think the start/finish is at the Gold Coast City Marina, and that's in the Coomera River. Might be a haul around to the Nerang .. I'll have to look it up. ;)
I'm hoping to get Zeeke to use his boat, and I'll bum a ride with him. We've yet to 100% lock down the arrangements.
Kevin
I will be there for sure with my new boat along with the other 50+ boaters. Pick up my new Maxxum electric motor tomorrow so I have got a bit of time to get used to it.

If it is running out of the coomera river it will be a trek to get to the nerang, but the coomera also has alot to offer in the way of bream.
I am pretty sure that it has been held at Coomera every year now. You will find that almost all the anglers 'in the money' will be fishing the Nerang. Although you are looking at a 1/2 to 3/4hr trip it is certainly worth it.

I'll be fishing it hopefully.. but not with my boat.. i dont have a kill switch to the motor.. damn morons forgot to re-fit it when they converted my boat from tiller to side console...
Kev, even if i did bring my boat.. we couldnt fish together.. non boaters get sorted out with different boaters ...
Tim
I'm 99% sure I'll be there, I'll be the bloke who looks lost:D

Mind you I live there....
The Nerang is a good 40 minutes ride to fish, mind you there will be some serious horsepower there...
There are a lot of other places to fish and don't forget the Nerang will probably get a hammering in the pre-fish. For those inter-state visitors to the Gold Coast I suggest you get a copy of the 'Hooked in Paradise' it details all the hotspots in the Broadwater and Nerang Rivers. Don't forget the 'Who Shares Wins' credence that the comps are run under, there will be a lot of fishers in the same boat as it were.... the info you can pick up at the briefing will be well worth it.
Bubble.
Actually from what I've heard there are about 3 or 4 definates flying over from WA and about another 3 or 4 good maybes....

I'll make this offer on a first in, first served basis........
I'll be entering as a boater and if there are any non-boaters from WA that want to team up let me know. Entering as a team will guarantee you a place in the comp. although you will still be paired up at random with a boater.
So there it is, as I said "first in, first served"

i trying to enter the june comp.......?
as a non-boater if anyone is out there that i can team up with, that would be much appreciated....:)
i've been wanting to fish the tournament circuit for years........and the nerang event would be a great place to start........
I'm a queenslander, and one day lov to be apart of the QLD team and thrash the NSW in the 'STATE OF ORGIN' event. "Sorry" to all the New south welshmen, but state rivalry is tradition.....:)
they might be high hopes, but i think i'll just start at the beginning ...........
So if anyone needs a boating partner, i'll put my hand up ......
hope to hear from a fello breamer.....
cheer's drew......oh and 'up the marrons':)
p.s. what do i have to do t enter .....???:confused
I didn't want to miss out so I hand delivered my entry form today.
(the new guys are always too keen!)
So if anyone wants a non boater that just wants to observe and learn (and not really compete with you) Then I would love a ride!
cheers
Gary
