I just got told it will be opened early in the week, but the rain might make it open up it self before then.
The river is still closed, there is water running over the sand but so far not enough to open the mouth.
The river is rising and there is a king tide expected today which may open up the river.
Gonna be interesting.
Just for interest sake, this is a picture of our boatshed taken at last years comp, the water level is so high now that the deck is almost 2 foot underwater, we will be climbing up into the boat. Gumboots are compulsary.

From the info i have been given the mouth will remain shut untill they can source a civil contractor to open it up.
Unless nature can weave some magic, with the predicted rains:(

Yes I was told it won't be opened for two weeks unless nature opens it up.
