I'm new to coastal fishing çause i just moved here from Tamworth and i'm used to catching yellowbelly and cod but i just can't seem to get the hang of saltwater fishing. I've got the right equipment (i think) but i need some help finding a decent spot (shore-based)to get some big bream. Any help would be greatly appreciated cause at the moment i couldn't catch a cold if i tried :(

I suggest you get out the street directory and look for parks that sit along the shoreline. There are heaps of spots on the Parramatta river that produce bream. Closer to your place there's also Lane Cove river and Middle Harbour which are good breaming spots but I haven't tried them myself yet.

That's twice i've forgotten to say what gear i've got, well i have a 6 foot carbon fibre finesse rod and a diawa 2600 off it with 6 pound line. I mainly use bait for the bream, i've started using SPs recently but have had no luck as yet. I mainly fish in the middle harbour area cause i live in Lane Cove but i do venture out to the northern beaches sometimes if my girlfriend lets me borrow her car.
