Are you serious Muzz?

Where did you leave the box? you'd hope one of the breamers would have picked it up and passed it to one of the organisers? someone may have grabbed it and are holding it waiting to see who lost it (hope so).

Good luck mate, I prefer a kick in the nuts than loosing a box full like that.

Hope someone knows who picked it up thats for sure.....

cheers

Richo I think Muzz's lure box made an untimely exit off his boat during the prefish day. Quite a few dollars worth from what I understand and I am sure was followed by many four letter words.

Cheers, Dror

Dror is correct Richo, because it was so wet and windy on the pre-fish I left my lure box on the deck, something I never normally do, will never do again, and on the way back to the ramp I assume they went out the back of the boat. They were near my feet when I started for the ramp and gone when I got back to the ramp.

Was not happy might have said "oh pooh" once or twice but eventually got over it.
Didnt sleep too good Friday night though.
This atually changed my fishing plans for the weekend and probably worked out for the best.
Used the kiss method, 2lb spinning fluoro and 2" Camo worms all weekend.
So as they say "something good always comes from something bad".

I have accepted I dont need the amount of lures I had.

A big thanks to all the guys who offered me their hb's and to those that gave me a couple.

cheers Muzz:D

Thats mighty unlucky Muzz, I can't say Ive lost a whole box over the edge but it would have turned me into one angry bugger (for a few hours anyway), but damn good to see the fishing gods smiled your way during the comp and helped you bring in a couple of good bags....

Not sure if everyone would be willing to donate the same amount of lures though....... And great to see other anglers happy to throw a lure or two your way to help fill the void.

You did well to look on the bright side of things.

cheers

Muzz,
Need some councilling from your goodself, as I too have suffered a substantial loss Exist 2506 and a GLX SR842-2, and not coping too well.

Unlucky Muzz, reminds me of the time i lost my whole collection of halcos to 40 degree heat on the murray, but probably half the cost of a box of jap lures:( I hope the 780 bucks eased the pain somewhat:D and congrats on a great placing, qualified already;)

I am saddened by your loss also, being a Loomis fan, I came close to losing my Sustain 1000 and custom Hastings with rec guides on the prefish two weeks before.
Raining ,wet hands, casting, rod and reel, in the water she went, me straight in after it.
Just got it before it went under the Nornalup bridge.
My mate thought it was very funny, didnt even lose my hat, sunglasses or mobile phone, very lucky. I bet there is a ton of tackle on the bottom of the systems we fish.

Something good will come from this, might be a little later down the track, but it will happen.;)

yeah im not the only one who noticed it smelt like crap.....first thing my old lady says to me as im pulling all the gear out the car is that I stink and need a shower, so i did and continue to unpack.....then the mrs comes to the car which is hers and says i still stink....and then puts her hand in a puddle of gulp juice that leaked from your bag into her boot......i was in the doghouse until I convinced her I cleaned it out:D
