Can some one give me some advice on Melbourne Docklands and maybe Werribee pier.
I have never cought a fish on a lure and i love Bream even thought i barely cought any.
I basicly need good beginners locations even if the fish are small as long i can catch some bream on lures.

Any help would be really helpfull:D

By the way...

Went down to the docks yesterday for a squiz at low tide and it was dead quiet, quite amazing how the place empties out. I suppose the new comer arriving at this time would think that the big bream in numbers that we talk about is rubbish, I know I would.

Anyway dagga, if not already stated in those links the guys mentioned, make sure you check your tide charts and get down there around high water, or at least an hour before and after. I really struggle to sight anything at low tide tide and the hits are very scattered.

What do you others reckon?

Cheers,

George

Dagga, what George said is spot on. On the high tide there are plenty of large bream cruising about. They are, however, not easy to catch. I have yet to score a horse, though I have seen plenty there. Good luck in your quest.

And I have been there at high tide getting my feet wet and seen none, I don't think the state of the tide is the main factor in whether there are many Bream visible or not at the Docklands.

Have there been many Trevally lately? I've heard they move into the Docklands in Winter.
