Hi Guy's,
I have just booked some flights to Queensland i will be up there as of the 27th January till the 3rd of Febuary.I will be staying in Nerang for the week i am there.Would like to know some general information on the area.I wouldn't mind meeting up with some of the local's for a fish or even maybe hitch a ride on someone's boat to chase some Threadfin Salmon or even just the humble old Bream around the canal's and do some surface fishing for some Whiting.

if you are after the threddys, you need to head to the brisbane river. About 1 hour drive north of nerang.

work the deep drop offs, and sand banks.

Thanks for the tip.What are the options of fishing the Brisbane river landbased?Also what other speices of fish will be on offer?
