I recently put a crack in the bottom of my fibreglass dinghy
the crack is about 30cm by about 10cm and leaks water a a steady rate.

Should i try and fix this crack myself? (what gear will i need and $$$ involved) My fibreglassing knowledge is limited but i know the basics

Or should i get a pro to fix it ($$$ involved there too)

The boat isnt very expensive or anything

you should have a go yourself, if cosmetics, structural integrity & resale value aren't a big consideration. Fibregalssing isn't rocket science. Get hold of the West Systems instruction leaflets and have a go.

If you'r not confident you can fix the crack in a manner that will be structurally sound for the safety of yourself and passengers and want peace of mind then bye all means have someone qualified do it.

Cheers & good luck.
