Gidday all you breamers,
I'm after a rod builder who is familiar with breaming and loc in WA. Keen to get my dream stick built up.
I've got my new blank and would like any opinions on very light guides to suit a premo stick. I've checked out fuji's goodies...mmmm. This will be a flats and shore stick with all the fruit....I hope.
If you guys were doing one, what reel would you put on your dream stick???? I have a few in mind........
Later I plan to build up a short rod for snags and close quarter combat with them lure stealing, line breaking, morale lowering Walpole and the like blue lips.
Thanks in advance and I look forward to all opinions regardless how far out.
Cheers Steve

ps Who's this muscadine maori????

Steve, send Ira a PM about rod builders...he should be an absolute font of info.

And just as a general tip - has any one told you that its traditional to stay in the boat when you're out fishing? I believe Walpole is cold at this time of year.:)

Howdy Steve
I'm getting one made up as I type, the dude I use is in Albany so that's a bit far for you. I'm putting Gold Cermats on mine and is a 7ft flats stik, hoping to pick it up thursday for the big test. I scored a Biomaster of Ev to put on it, I'm hanging out to christen the combo.

Mmmm a stella would be nice Dave but I'll check with Ev if he knows of any TD-z or the like. Those bio masters sound good. Let me know when you're ready.
Craig I thought Ira was still away at the comp?
Mark your new stick sounds awesome! How much were the Gold cermets as I'm considering the ti single foots. What blank did your builder use. Mine is also a 7ft,it's by GUSA.

I heard those GUSA blanks were hard to get, the Ti's are a titanium outer with a ceramig ring arn't they. The Gold cermats are exxy but I really like them so I scrimped and saved to get the better guides, the blanks a Samuri 2/4kg. Barry Taylor at Bluewater is a good builder, and I've heard the women at rodwise is very good also.

Oh, i take it this is a third rod, and not the replacement for the Drop Shot?
The Biomasters are awesome. I'm yet to hear anything bad about them from any of the guys, so if you can get one do it!
I'll be sure to call you when i go mate!

I would be happy to build you a rod, and discuss materials. I have built three spin rods and three fly rods in the last 12 months or so, however I havent built one for anyone else and would like the chalendge to do so. PM me if you are interested Steve.
