What's the best and cheapest way to package a rod to be mailed? The best thing I can come up with is a length of PVC pipe from Bunnings.
Does Crazy Clarks sell rod tubes for $2? Or am I being optimistic?

Hello Doctor,
If i were you i'd go down to your post office or walk through the yellow pages and try to find some of that hard cardboard tube.
Ask Cindy , just PM her, she sent me 3 rods in it from Black Diamond to Breammaster.

Go for the PVC and if you can send it Toll Ipec. Australia Post breaks rods that are in cardboard (plain cardboard the hard tubes should be fine). Def. send it courier of some sort.

Cindy and I have sent quite a number of rods using the heavier cardboard tubes via post with no worries so far. You can pick them up from places like printer firms. They usually recycle them any way.

Go to any carpet place, the cardboard tudes they use to roll carpet on are ideal. the throw them out in the rubbish.

Thanks for the advice. I should be able to get one of the cardboard tubes from where I work, we've rolls of plastic wrap and bin liners that should do nicely.

Funny how I didn't think of that and I probably walk past them about 20 times a day.
