Nice rig Slab's!

If I can work out how to send a picture from my phone to my email i'll post a copy of my sit-on.

I like your sea anchor. I was going to try one of those colapsable canvas buckets, but your idea looks a winner.

Hi ol slabs

Very nice setup how do you go casting? im interesed in the accuracy of it as being in sitting position with you legs forward would be make casting a little different.

Very nice setup. How far do you go ?

Cheers

Ps Makes for a very good option for thoes who can afford a fully decked out hornet.

hey Slab's, what brand is your sounder and where did you mount the transducer?

Mine is an Eagle and currently I have the transducer poking through one of the scupper holes, however I want to glue it to the bottom of the inside of the hull but no-one can tell me if it will affect the sonar?????

Thanks for the replies guys

Some days I just throw it in the water at the end of the street and start fishin & other days I'll do a bit of an epic, depends how much time I have...
It's stable as, ya get pulled around by bigger fish, had some rather large flathead on, but that just adds to the rush...
The sounder is a lowrance (same as Eagle)& the transducer is mounted by suction cup at the front (ya can kinda see it in the pic)...
I reckon a hornet would still come in handy (don't think I can get the minnow on the plane with a full livewell ;) & its a bit short :( )

I'll get some more detailled pics up soon

Lowrance give details of "through hull" transducer installations on their web site. I undersatnd Lowrance make Eagle sounders, so it should be OK.

Check out "Shoot-Thru-Hull Mount" at

I dont know about you guys but do you find 2 rods two many?

when i'm spinning or soft plastic fishing one rod is all i need.

I'll send a photo of my perception Arcadia

I have a similar set up but the rod holder at the back, so i dont get water on it when i paddle and troll the splastics when moving.

She looks the part though well done!

P.S what are these depth finders worth? i want one but havn't found any i want yet.

(i also use my kayak to bait drop when shark fishing from land - not in the kayak :) )

I'm dumb but not that dumb!!!

Hey Slab, I liked the look of your minnow so much I went out and bought one today.

Not exactly new but got a great deal on a double minnow out of the paper.

Now I have a sit-in and a sit-on how lucky am I?

I'll also post some piccies if I can just work out this damn camera!!

One quick question Slab.

With the Minnow, the cockpit is pretty large so having the rod holders at the front mean that you would probably need to stretch a fair bit to reach them (or have you moved the seat towards the front).

Any problems in this regard ?

I usually rig one rod SP & the other HB or one deep diver & the other shallow, guess I've got used to havin two rods ready to go...

When I'm trollin I like the rods in front so I can see if the lures workin or weeded up, I wash & oil my reels after every sesh anyhow, but they do get soaked...
