On the weekend I tried some new spots that had alot more current than I'm used to. The current kept putting a huge bow in my line when fishing soft plastics, so I had know idea what my jig was doing. Anyone got any suggestions? I know there are fish there because I fluked a baby bream and saw a bait fisho pull out a honker.

What sort of line are you using - mono or a braid - the thiner braid may help with the problem.

I'm using 4lb fireline, so I can't go much thinner.

The problem is that the area is really snaggy, and I was getting snagged with a 1/20 of an ounce. Maybe I'll try going heavier but with a weedless worm hook.
how deep was it??
ever thought of trying dropshotting?? wouldnt get snagged up as much
just a thought

Probably only about 6 feet or less. I was thinking about the dropshot myself.
I've tried the dropshot before at a different spot with a jig on the bottom instead of just lead. I got fish, but they all took the jig.
