Hiya guys,
I have been a member of forums for many years and notice something that it not really being utilised on BM.
Locking threads.
What I mean is commonly asked questions like what to use, gear etc etc can be in a post up the post of each forum saying something like "Important information"
The post can still be added to but it always stays at the top of the forum category.

Personally I hate those "Sticky" topics that are fixed at the top of the list.

I think you are quite correct in stating that we need a repository of well rounded answers to "Frequently Asked Questions" though.

A FAQ would be a fine addition to the site, things that are asked again and again would be the topics covered. The FAQ is a widely used and well understood internet convention.

I would just about volunteer to be the maintainer of said FAQ if the idea gains any momentum and Warren and co don't want to do it themselves.
