Hey just wanted to know if Transducers get scratched up does that affect their ability to read the returns properly?
I have a Matrix 77 on the trolling motor and I have noticed it gives me quite erratic readings lately. It is quite sratched up and wondered if this is the reason or is it the setting.
Some problems are: jumping up and down in depth measurement and not reading clearly in shallow water even that the limit is set manually.
Any help would be great
