Fishing the Swan

I have never fished in the Swan River or Perth; being new to fishing for that matter, is anyone available on a weekend/ any time;) to show me the ropes? I wish I had girlfriends whom like to fish. We can use my boat or fish from the shore.

Thats what the breamers day is all about suzie, we arent there to sell you fishing gear, we are there to show you casting, likely spots to look and how to fish them. Come down and Im more than happy to show a few people some of the usual spots in the swan that produce.

I cant stress highly enough though, that when you are by yourself you can go to spots without others and work out what is best for you, and then apply it in comps. Nobody knows where you go to pull the big ones then.

When I first started I used to post looking for someone to fish with and got heaps of people, learnt heaps from them especially in boating. A 17 year old boy actually taught me heaps about boating and my mentor indeed! :) I haven't fished for 9 months or so due to settling into new home and new interests. If you plan to fish the Swan, just send me a PM before a weekend. Don't think there is much I can show you but maybe just some company. Got to get back into it sooner or later. Hope to get my boat fixed by Dinghy World in June/July.

I'm helping my bro inlaw on Sat and Sun but was thinking about going out on Monday, if you get it off. I would take Carol up on her offer and force her to go fishing ;) She knows where to fish.

Yeah, I think I need to be pressured to see to go fishing these days. Just the word 'fishing' and 'lures' used to excite me and send me into a frenzy but somehow these days it just doesn't seem to do the same. I need to find out if it's still for me, yeah definitely need to find out (shorebash or boat is fine by me). Notice however though that Shane mentioned I know where to fish but not 'how to fish' though, so don't expect too much from me! :eek::D

You are going to drive past me "shorebashing" and yell out to me swapping catch spots???!!! You got the nerve! :eek::D :D Anyway I will be in Malaysia shopping till I drop so you won't see me anywhere close to the waters! :p Would love to check out your cool tub one of these days though and see what atmosphere of "drive it like you stole it" feels like! ;)
