Kota mounting advice needed!

Gday all,

Just picked up my riptide 55 bowmount today, pretty awsome looking piece of equipment!!!

But what id like to know is the different methods all of you have used to mount your electrics.
When i placed mine on my bow today, it seems that two of the holes in the baseplate atually hang out over the front of the boat when the motor is in operating position. This leaves only four holes (and therefor bolts) to hold the motor on.

Im not confident of using only four bolts, so am trying to figure out a way to mount it using all of the holes provided.

I have on order a quick release bracket mount which i hope will be here before the walpole trip, does anyone use these? and may they be a solution to my problem??

With regard to the quick release bracket, is it adjustable in that it slides out to different positions or does it just slide on and lock into one position only?

I will have to wait untill i get mine untill i can decide on the best way to mount it.
I think im gunna have to end up drillin som extra holes in the bottom part of the bracket.

I have mine mounted on my boat using only four bolts, mine is permanantly on my boat aswell, had it on there for about 10 months now. If you are really worried get a welder to weld on a piece of alloy that is 4mm thick to bolt it onto, but even then I think it's a bit extreme.

Im starting to get a mental picture of how im gunna set mine up. Just gotta wait on the bracket now to see if its all gunna work.
