hey scott
i done a fair bit of fishing with the tilsan bass lures before i got into the softplastic fever and i think they are a great lure.i used a mullet coloured one most of the time when i was on holiday at the nerang river last year and in one session i caught 11 bream which i thought was alright.but half of them were small the biggest only going 33cm.but i think they are a good lure with a good action i would still probably use them if it wasnt for the softplastics.
but i think the rebel craws are the best hardbodie on bream.

And to add to an already awesome lure, I'm just snapping the pics for the new "CHROME GOLD" Tilsan Bass. I had a fish with it this afternoon and hooked a few in a very slow session. I think it will be an awesome deep water, big fish lure.

One customisation I am looking at is crimping a split shot on the front loop after I remove the treble. It rises too quickly for my liking, and I hate fishing with middle trebles.

ive found the best way to slow down your floating minnows is to use lead wire.

an inch or so wrapped around the split ring and twisted allows you to customize the rising rate. plus if you remove the front treble you just add more wire to keep the lure balanced.

i nicked mine from my dads fly tying box  but your LTS should have various diametres. worth having in your tackle box.

Sounds like a great new colour. Tilsans work really well on big bream. Thats if big flatties leave them alone long enough for the bream to hit them :)

Howya going Scotto, I let the young fella tie on my Tommy Toucan Tilsan Bass today and he destroyed it. We caught 37 between us the best going to the young fella on the Tilsan all in a two & a half hour session. I have to say I kicked his arse on the 52 Scorp 25 to 12, but it is only his second time on hardbodies. I'm still coming up to do the course, so you can show me how to catch these city Blackies.

In paradise, madfish
