Not as big as some of the salmon recently posted, but AD and myself got into some salmon on the light gear down south, good fun on the surface lures" Zipbaits Irony" Was great too see the salmon come up and smash them.We both lost our lures after catching a few, mine was taken behind a rock and snapped off and daves was smashed off by a hungry pack. Then the funny thing was there was a salmon jumping out of the water every now and then with a loud rattle attached to it lol
Had a couple of schools around us, one with bigger fish out the back and smaller fish in a school swimming back and forth.

@ bigbreambos that is a mojiko rod from annaconda. Very good rod for the price, i payed only $79 for it at the grand opening of adelaide store. normally sell for around $150.
@DB it was deep south

Great fish guys looks like you did better than me, have just returned from Dunsborough where I missed 3 fish because of leader knots popping, PE line breaking and some very decent trebles straightening on a big fish:mad:
Saw about 20 fish recovering from various injuries near a piece of reef one of them actually had a lure hanging out of it's back they didn't want to know about lures:D
The netters were at work pulling a few tons they actually invited me to cast into their net and I was on immediately only to loose my lure and fish, must say I reckon that a lot of the fish that rec anglers were picking up on the beach were stragglers that had escaped from the nets.:p
Next trip is planned already

Yes they can be ruthless on tackle, we lost a few lures. i lost a craze and the irony, they love em. but they dont love being wrapped around rocks(well my light line doesnt)
Got to get me some more irony's thats for sure!
