Hi there, is there anyone using the Okuma Epixor baitfeeder 20 reel? I came accross this reel in one of the fishing magazines and was wondering how good it is considering the price of it.( around $150) I am thinking of getting one of those and doe anyone have had any bad experience with that reel. Also does anyone know where i can purchase it online. Etackle.com.au has only the Epixor 20 but not the baitfeeder one. Thanks for info mate. Happy breamin!!;)

G'day
I have the Okuma EB30 baitfeeder I use for natives and baitfishing esturaries - love it. Baitfeeder not needed for luring, but often have it out with a bait on a circle hook - surprising what jumps on.
Cheers

Try the one above they are usually pretty good from what I hear. I have an Epix EFS 20 and its real good, a bit heavy for my main set up, but an awesome reel on its own. Dave W has probably pulled over 100 on his in 10days and he said it performed awesome.
cheers

I have the Okuma Epix 30 with baitfeeder. Best thing I have ever bought. I use it all the time when bait fishing. I tend to catch fish when others miss theirs! However, like the other chap said, you won't need the baitfeeder for luring. Don't have any problems with it, very smooth indeed, and a warranty of 5 years. It is slightly longer than a normal plain reel. May be worth checking to see if the one with baitfeeder is longer/heavier than one without. Baitfeeder reel is more expensive. It is not a light item and if I were you where possible I would buy it from a tackle shop instead of by mail order. A bloke who occasionally fishes with me bought the Epix 20 without baitfeeder for lure fishing and he reckons it is excellent. Another bloke stuffed up his (silly act not covered by warranty) and went out and bought another Epix 20. Good tackle shop should have it. It is quite well known around. I don't know about Melbourne but in Perth, tackle shop are always willing to do a good deal. I shopped around and got it $50 cheaper than others. Check out the Okuma website and other websites. Quite a few comments and technical documentations on it. Good Luck.

I have 2 eb 20's and 2 eb30's I use them for bait and lure fishing! Caught a 23 kg jew off the beach on 4 kg line last july it had the drag smoking (almost) but it remained silky smooth from start to finish, over an hour! It's as good today as it was straight out of the box!

Where is the cheapest place to purchase an Okuma EFS- 20
Have found it for $148 in Mo Tackle
Wouldn't mind getting one and loading with fireline, cause i have a Shimano Symetre 4000 and it's way to big to fill with fireline (expensive).
Would be a great rig for bream luring and casting lures for bass.:D :D
cheers breamobasser ;)
