Nah no worries just dont catch too many bream with it lol
Merri Minnow is the fly i firstly wanted to make then i added a tail and materials slightly.
i tied the eyes with 3-d eyes though Machined eyes work fine also.
any other patterns that you got Slab?
:)

can anyone actually tell me what they use for the wing material in the meldrum clouser?
I've got all sorts of flashy materials, but they seem to tangle after a few casts....
and they dont seem to have that glow under the narrows either....

Sparkleflash, gliss and glow, mirrorflash.
some of the meldrums are tied with other materials though if it's flashy it will work .

Alex,
I may get beaten up for this, but if you want that "glow" thing happening (if you've seen it you'll know what I mean) then you want to get some Flashabou, it is the DohDohDohDoh :D Microflash, Mirrorflash, Sparkleflash etc all work, but Flashabou is the business in that area.
Good luck finding some hehe ;)

Yeah, it's availability around these parts seems to fluctuate a bit, I'm pretty sure I have a reliable source for it now, I hope so anyway!

Wandy,
Yeah I've been going ok. Didn't fish this weekend (needed sleep!) and last trip before that was a skunking (doh), but before that I picked up 17 bream to a kilo plus a flattie and some randoms in a couple of hours shorebashing, trip before that I managed 12, before that I think I got 6 or so?? Can't recall exactly, been a bit busy the last week so hopefully this week I'll get a fish in.
Haven't chucked flies in a fair while, something Cole gives me a fair bit of stick about:D Going up north in 6 weeks, so I'll be chucking flies between now and then to get some practice in. Looking forward to it!!!!!

Is flashabou a behind-the-counter, in the storeroom sort of deal now is it?
I've decided to chase mulloway this winter on fly.
I think i've built up the courage to go out at all times of night in the freezing cold waving a wand around to score a fish every 20 or so trips.....
then again, this house is quite warm, and there's a kettle and tea... and a television.....
hrmmmmm
