I have had alot of luck with Tailor after dark using spinners. I was wondering if anyone has had any consistant luck with Bream on lures at night?

I know the guys have been using Dark coloured lures off of the banks of Mounts Bay road and catching fish. It is pretty hard to cast into timber at night as you won't see where your lure is landing. Dark coloured lures at night are preferd as the general consenses says that bream see the Sihlouette rather than colours and the darker it is the better the sihlouette.
People are the same too, put yourself in a Dark room with something you have never seen at all and try and tell what colour it is.
Hope this helps

Give it a go and you might be suprised. A lot of the guys from this site often fish for bream at night and have a hell of a lot of success.

Get yourself a Black River 2 Sea Shed as they have been outfishing everything else by far recently. I've also caught them in the middle of the night on soft plastics and other HB lures so yeah try out a few things and i'm sure others from the site can give you some more advice.

Mitch, where did you find a lawn like that manicured specimen where you were fishing?

Mitch do you use clips to attach your lures or tie loops?:)

Howdy,

I fish with a mate Davo and he uses clips all the time where as I use a loop knot, there is never any difference in catch rate between us, it just takes me a minute longer to change lures....

"No Comment" Chris ;-)

Crazyfish, umm usually I use a loop knot but I have used fly clips as well, which obviously are a lot easier to use at night considering it's often tricky tying knots when you can't see anything.

I always have better result at night compare to day time.

But you gotta know the way home when you drive the boat :)

Hi,
I've had inconsistent results on bream in pre dawn sessions using an Arbogast Jitterbug surface lure in the 1/8oz size. Water depth was about half a metre in the Derwent Rv, Tas. Good fun but not overly productive. SPs would probably be better.
Cheers,
Rigzz

Lawn that immaculate hey? S'gotta be either around some richy rich silver spoon boys suberbs like dalkeith or Moneybags McScrewge yacht clubs like South of Perth who don't adheare to the water restrictions cos the $50 fine is less than 5 mins work for them. Yeah? Nah? Close?
