My birthday has just gone past and I finally have enough money to buy a decent bream rod. I want to get a Stella or Squidgy Spin Stick. Does the breammaster shop have either of these? What do you guys think will be more suited for me as I am shore based in the Collie River. I am also planning to get an Okuma Avenger for the rod when I get enough money. I am getting either a 15 or a 20 (though more probably a 20 so it is a bit more versatile). Could anyone in the know tell me they're opinion about the best combo? Also what is the thinnest 4 pound mono available? I am currently using 6 pound Diamond line that has flourocarbon coating and I think was abot $10 for 960 metres. The diameter of this is 0.18mm. I could order in the 4pound but I want to find out about other options.
Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

Chris, drop a PM to GeoffP in the shop. Those rods are available and he should be able to give you some good advice on the set up.
I'll preempt Dave W and tell you those Okuma reels aren't too bad.
I have the AV30 at the moment and they are a good all round reel. The 20 or 15 would be best suited to breamin, but remember the flats. Lots of open space to run.
Even hooking the odd mulloway could make it interesting. My next 2 reels will be smaller 15's so I have my bases covered.

Thanks for your responses guys. I'll send a pm to GeoffP to get some prices. I forgot to mention that I will be mainly using SPs. Also, does anyone know the diameter of the new platypus line (I think it is Super 100X) in the 4 pound breaking strain. Once again thanks.

how does the stella rod rate as a rod for hard body lures?
or is it better for sps?

Ive used mine for casting from OarG`s right up to the River2Seas, I think they do a great job for hardbodies, havn`t used it much for softies, but can`t see why you wouldn`t.
cheers
