It is only out on the market. Try Pro Catch in Sunny Bank. Most of the leading tackle store should have it very soon.

I've been using this leader material in 6 pound for a few days now & I am really happy with it. It has excellent knot strength & its tough. I have been trying a few different fluoros lately like Rio's & Seagaur & the Yamatoyo is head & shoulders above them. I've taken flatties & bream on it & I deliberatly held a couple flatties on the surface & let them saw away it & they hardly marked it. I have been dragged into snags by bream & same thing hardly a mark on it. Its great stuff.:D

Just a question, when a product hits the market such as this one is there a reason you say that you hope Warren doesn't mind your posting?? Are we not able to have this item in the Breammaster shop?? If it is a good product and will be of benefit to us then I thought Warren would be keen to stock it, only asking... Neville

I've been testing this product out over the last month, in 4lb only, and I'm going to give it 2 thumbs up.

Ties a good knot, handles some abrasion, visibility quite low in the water and not bad value for money.

I guess this got bumped back up! Tony, if you're around - I used the 6lb and it got dragged through some mean territory where I'd usually use 10lb or higher... It barely had a nick on it despite having nearly a kilo of bream wrap it around a mussel-encrusted pylon for about half a minute.
Good stuff guys...

cheers

Hi Blake,
I've just started using it myself and think I've finally found one I'm happy with. Good line with very few problems.

Let us know what you think.

Hey Bear...

My little spool (how small is the spool??) turned up yesterday so I gave it a blast today...

Got hooked up in trees, little bushes, bream everything.. never once felt like breaking (its 6lb) or was I ever worried that my knot would undo.. even pulled myself closer to shore in the boat.. got the lure back and it still stayed perfect...

Anyway.. if people are looking for a leader.. its going to be hard to go past the Yamatoyo...

Hi Guys,

Which Yamatoyo are you referring to exactly?

Razor 100%, Super Harizu Fighter or both?

There are two different types in the on-line shop. Does anyone know the difference (except price)?

Thanks,
Alex

Hey Alex, I've got both (in different breaking strains) and they seem to be pretty much the same in the important properties of abraision resistance, strength, suppleness etc.

The main difference is that the Super Harizu Fighter (the cheaper one) only comes in 50m spools, while Razor (the more expensive one - actually cheaper per metre) comes in 100m spools.

It seems that the razor only goes down to 6lb (at least that is all that breammaster have) so if you want 4lb, you have to go for the Super Harizu Fighter

Maybe madfisho can enlighten us on any other differences?

Cheers
James.

I've been using the 4lb and I'm happy with it, I don't fish snaggy territory that much, so i haven't really had a chance to test out its abrasion resistance...other than on fish, knot strength seems good and the line has a nice feel to it, and after reading everyone elses posts, i definately have confidence in it!

HI Guys,

First of all, I have to thank all the guys use and happy with Yamatoyo line :)
I personally believe the good stuff always remain in the market :)

The difference between Razor Fluoro and Super Harris( Harris means leader);) is that Razor is softer finish material and Super Harris is a harder material.
Both are very abbrasion resistance and has excellent knot strength. One advantage of Razor is that you can use them as main line because it is soft finish!!
Lots of people using braid as main line now. However I have notice most of teh anglers in Japan using Fluorocarbon as a main line. There are 2 main raesons(refer the diagram):

1. Braid line will float. So fishing with deep water, you will actually form a lobe where as fluorocarbon has greater density which you have direct contact to lure. Using braided line in windy and heavy current will create much more slack line.
2. In a windy conitions, it will be very hard to casy braided line and you will find braided line will tangle with :everything" include rod tips or somwhere in the boat.

So if people are willing to give them ago and test them. I think you will notice that.
