has anyone had much success fishing off of onslow. thinking of goin there for a week around august. will also be spending time at exmouth/coral bay. not sure weather it would be better to just stay on the norwest cape for the whole 3 weeks.

Really depends whether you are Land Based or with Boat?

Old Town Site to the south apparantly has some great creek fishing, with flats.

Accommodation at the Mackeral islands (Onslow) is also good with access to Fishing.

Exmouth and Coral Bay are also great obviously as so much is written about them in Mags.

Though depends on whether you are fishing from a boat or the shore

I thought Coral Bay was a no fishing zone? It was something I recentley read in a magazine.
There was alot of confusion about whether you could fish there or couldn't... I'm not sure, just thought someone would be able to clarify this for me and anyone else curious about it.

Nugget.

mainly concerned with boat fishing

coral bay is fine from a boat aslong as you are behind the reef or in the right zones on the inside

The Ashburton (south of town) anywhere you can get at it by vehicle is heavily fished by the locals

Heaps of creek options north of Town mate....not to mention islands etc

Good launching ramp at the Beadon Creek.....just watch the tides....

PM me if you want more details on spots
