An updated graphite version of the fmt72L. Has anyone used one of these? Apparently very popular? cf

I didn't know they were making those. The old FMT72L and FMT72 were great ultralight and light blanks. I made a few rods based on them. A graphite version would be a nice 6 foot ultralight rod if they have managed to translate the characteristics and reliability of the old ones into these new ones. From what I've read the surf/rock casting blanks that they have made in a "G" version are excellent, so I assume the little ones would be good too. Their blanks are generally quite inexpensive compared to the imports so it shouldn't break the bank to give one a try.

g'day pw. it's not one of your super stiff imx rods but not a noodle stick like the original. should be good for bait and spinning. med/fast action. I've had one made up but yet to fish with it. cf
