Has anyone had any luck lately around Garrett rd bridge? I went for a fish around the ascot side of the bridge. I was using soft plastics around dark. Didn't have any luck around the pylons. Waded to the left towards ascot waters but not a taker.
Any ideas or suggestions?
I'm not too sure, but i'd say that you'll have more luck downriver!
There will be fish at Garret Rd, but the majority will be downstream!
Try East Perth or the Causeway Down!

Yeah mate dead right, I love the upper reaches but at the moment the narrows is the farthest up river that I'll go. It's literally been dead futher up with everything dead in some parts, baby flathead, little tadpoles everything that breathes was dead and on the bottom.
I assume all the fish who normally hang out up river will be riding the tides, as in going as far up as the clean, fresh water takes them and then receeding with it too.
Try the second car park after the old brewery on the way out of the city.Start after the broken handrails and work your way down towards the uni, just cast straight out with the usual slow steady retrieve with plenty of LONG pauses.
Laser Pro 45's don't have any equal around there at the moment.[comment not open for debate;) ]
good luck

g'day j.c.f,
there is still fish upstream.not as widespread as summer but still there, just got to look.waded opposite maylands boat yards last week,2 & 2 flatties, fish market is still worth a look and so is lilac hill.i got my p.b (43) last year mid winter at guilford but have got to agree with the guys that downstream from herisson is best bet, more fish in less time for sure. this part is a comment only,my first lure was a black/red laser pro,has caught me the most bream by far plus my only 2 mulloway so they do work well but so do og's,attacks,sneakys,mirashads,r2s,snap shads, scorpions and just about anything that looks edible.
Hey JCF.
Check your PM's mate!
