Hi guys,

I recieved my reel today that I won in the Perth Bream comp. It is a Shimano Sedona 2000FA. It has 2 BB, 1 RB. The spare spool is graphite. I currently use a Daiwa Laguna, so know nothing about this reels performance.

Has anyone used or heard reports about this reel?
From what I found through a google search it costs $46.99 American dollars and a couple of plces sell them in Aus for about $90-$116 and some reports are good, some not so good.

Looking forward to your replys,

Mim

Mim,

I'd place it at about 1/2 to 2/3 of the "goodness" of your Laguna.
In the Shimano spinning reel range it goes:
Stella (top model), Sustain, Stradic, Symetre, Sahara, Sedona.

Daiwa spinning reels go:
Team Daiwa (top model), Capricorn, Laguna, Kastor, Caprice, Samurai 7i

It will make a nice backup reel for you :-)

That is what I was thinking. The action doesn't seem too bad, but I do like my Laguna

Thanks

Hi Chris,

The rod is still on the way.

Kim brought the reel over with her. If you went into the store tonight Ira may have had it for you. If not he will bring it down to Australind

Dunno when the rods will arrive. I am not gonna hold my breath

Cheers
