hi all

im in the market for a new spin stick for breaming. i have had a look at the heartlands but for $139 i think that it is a bit pricey (arent they different to the heartland X????) also they seem to be not very meaty in the butt section which im a bit hesitant about.

i think the rod that im heading for would be the innovator shogun. it was around $170 with a 5 yr unconditional warranty?

has anyone used one of these or had any feedback about them? any other rods that you guys recomend?

You could have a look at the new Squidgee spin sticks, or the Black Diamond custom rods, good luck with your search, cheers.

Hi.

I bought the Squidgie Spin Stick Friday of last week. Teamed it with a Daiwa Samurai-7i 2500 and 4lb green fireline - very nice combo.

Gave it a run the next day and while the weather was not kind I did manage a 39cm whiting - no bream to be seen where I was. At 39cm the whiting gave me some stick - all handled beautifully by the rod / reel combo.

Excellent casting softies - great distance and accuracy not bad as well - I need a little more time with it to improve that though.

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't perform as well with hardbodies.
