Hi Guys
Wondering if some one could help me out on how much play I need to have on my trailer bearings, I seem to have none but when I back it off a notch to line up the split pin I get 3 or 4 mm play is this alright or should I go for none:confused:

Cheers

I would say none, but the wheel should spin freely and under no tension. Maybe take it for a quick tow to see if the bearings get hot and if so back it off.

the best as i know
get a ring spanner or socket tight the nut untill its just tight,
then loosen it a quarter turn, you should have no play ,wobble but your wheels should freely turn, thats what most of us mechanics do at workshop for cars, no wonder why car berrings last long, you should get good life with the trailer berrings too if they are well greased
cheers ben
